Definitions of iTunes equalizer settings?
Could someone provide the definitions or explain what the different equalizer settings mean?
Some are easily understood but others not.
I can not find any specific information on this in iTunes Help.

Here is the best I could find: http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/tutorials/ituneseq/index.shtml
Thank you Jim.
The article does explain how the equalizer works yet doesn't provide the definition of the iTunes equalizer presets that I am searching for.
Hopefully iTunes will come up if possible with some explanations.
Cheers,

There is no "definintion" of what they mean. You could name the presets 1, 2, 3, 4, etc and they would still do the same thing.
It simply increasing/ decreasing certain frequencies.
Select a preset and look at how they are set.
Thank you Chris,
I appreciate your answer yet would you be able to describe how one set would be better say for ascoutics compared to R&B?
Cheers,
JPL
What's "best" is what sounds good to you.
Ideally, the settings get a flat range across the frequency band. However, there are many factors that affect the sound.
Acoustic music is generally mid range so that setting boosts the mid range.
R&B will usually boost the low/high ranges.
Vocals will boost the vocal ranges.
What sounds good to you may not sound good to someone else.
