Wifi And Gps problems-iphone 3Gs

its the same story as many others, had the phone about 3 weeks from new i updated it straight away to ios 4.3.3 and since then the wifi and Gps have had connection issues, my wifi keeps dropping out with little or no signal even when the phone is ontop of my virgin media Superhub. using maps is a joke it says im within a 1KM radius using the gps and it almost never updates, my mates iphone 3gs (same ios) gets an almost perfect signal over wifi and Gps.

I believe theres nothing wrong with my router as my ipod touch connects perfectly and my iphone connects randomly to it and then disconnects showing only a weak signal.

so should i contact my carrier or should i go to the apple store and talk to them, as it would seem Apples update killed my Iphone.

if i could downgrade it to an earlier ios i would, just to see if it works but as apple doesnt support this and they released the update that broke my iphone surely they should replace the phone with one that works with the latest ios? or could they just install an ios onto my iphone that means i can use what im paying for?

As you have clearly researched this because you say "the same as many others" you must also have seen how many others have fixed the problem. Which of their suggestions have you tried, and what was the result?

with regards to the wifi issues i have tried forgetting the network and turning the device on and off again, i have tried restoring the phone as a new phone, i have tried other wireless networks some open some secure, ive tried resetting the network settings. and others i have probably forgotten but the results have been consistantly bad with little or no improvments but ill try almost anything aslong as it doesnt void my warranties. the gps isssue still remains a mystery its general accuracy is appauling but i have found no solutions really so ill take any help with that one. im mainly dissapointed in my new device it just doesnt seem to work, i should have returned it the second i noticed the wifi issue.

If you've restored as a new phone and have the problem before installing anything, and the problem occurs with all WiFi networks, you probably have a bad WiFi chip. As Location Services uses WiFi it would explain your GPS problem also.

Take the phone to an Apple store for exchange, as it's still in warranty.
