Does 5th gen ipod play video?

I have a 5th gen ipod, I have downloaded movies and videos in itunes and only the audio will play on my ipod, not the video. There's a little icon for the movie, but no video of the movie. Does this ipod not play video or movies?

Under my video and settings, movies is an option, so I am assuming it should be able to play the movies.

iPod classic, Windows XP

The 5th Generation iPod does indeed play video, but your content must selected in a video or movies or even TV Shows menu to play the video. Some video content can still show up in your standard iPod content library, and you can initiate playback. But in some cases, you will then only be playing back the audio. To play the video, make sure it is selected through an appropriate video-centric menu.

Hope this helps.
