I already have my sbcglobal account set up on my ipad. But I would also like to access my work email through outlook. Is there a way to set up easy access for both without blending them or one replacing the other?

Yes, just set it up as a seperate account in the same way you setup the SBCGlobal account. You can have multiple, independent email accounts setup on a single device.
Once complete, you'll have both accounts setup and can either access them individually or as a single inbox containing all your mail.
You said you were using Outlook. If your company uses Microsoft Exchange, there is an option in the email setup on the iPad to use this. It is set up in basically the same way you set up your sbcglobal email. You may have to speak with your IT people to get all the settings (e.g., server information), but once it is set up you will be able to see individual "inboxes", in your case your work email and your sbcglobal email.
Thanks. I was concerned because when I get to the last step, it says "Exchange Account". I was afraid it would replace my sbcglobal account or blend them. Can you tell me how the two will be displayed?
Sure. As Julian mentioned, when you have more than one email account on the iPad, you will see a pulldown menu with (among other things) a list of separate Inboxes. There, you will see "All Inboxes", plus individual boxes for each of your two mail accounts. Yours would be maybe "Home Email" and "Work Email" (you can name them whatever you wish). Each of those accounts shows that email separately. The "All Accounts" inbox shows the combined emails. You simply access whichever account you are interested in at that moment.
