Ipad "notes app" crashing

I just noticed that my ipad "notes app" is crashing upon launch. I've restarted the ipad two times. Anybody else noticed this problem? Anybody know how to correct? Thank You!

iPad, iOS 4.3.3

Have you tried closing the Notes app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Notes 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Notes app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

If that doesn't work then you could try a reset (which I'm assuming isn't what you mean by having restarted the iPad) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I did all (close app, restart w/ power+home button, reset all settings) and it still crashes :/

iOS 5.1.1 (DON'T tell me to upd!!)

I could still view the content of notes via the search function (left swipe from home screen)

I would suggest to do a general backup via iTunes and then a restore or reset all data & content and then restore.

I am telling you later what solution worked.

(Did you recognize that every sentence startet with 'I'? 0:)
