Always "Accessing iTunes Store".....

Why does iTunes keep accessing the iTunes store? Everything is updated, but it won't stop accessing. Won't let me redeem a gift card either. 😟

I'm getting the same problem..

I have tried numerous things to no avail to fix (Windows platform)

1. Checked Hosts file

2. Checked firewall and disabled

3. Reset Winsock

4. Flushed DNS

5. Removed iTunes and re-installed using brand new library

6. can ping itunes.apple.com

7. Can access iTunes America store on webpage

8. Tried disabling store than re-enabling in Parental Controls

Not sure what else to try. Starting to be a bit of a pain.

Same here.

Tried diabling the store from preferences but makes no difference.

Have been getting the spinning beachball in iTunes too.
