What's up with Merge Folders? When i move a folder into a directory with a similarly named folder Lion is supposed to prompt me to replace or merge..

i'm only seeing replace!

Turns out the merge folders option is called "Keep Both" and you'll only see it when you copy a directory, not move. slightly dissapointing, but better than nothing. When you're working with a file (instead of a directory) the option appears for both copy and move, the merged file gets a number appended to its name.

This seems rather stupid. I don't want to copy millions if not billions of bytes to achieve this. I want to move and merge, and it may ask what to do when inside the duplicate folder it finds other items that share one name. Way to go!

Nothing is worse than replacing files with other files when this was clearly not the intention, since the replaced files are more or less lost forever.
