Use QuickTime Pro (v.7) to record a webcast?

Hi, all:

I would like to ask if it is possible to use QuickTime Pro (v.7) to record a webcast that is being streamed live over the internet.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I might accomplish this, I would be grateful.

Thanks!

True "streaming" files can't be saved because the data is served via streaming server software.

Probably less than one file in ten thousand is actually served via streaming servers.

QuickTime Player Pro doesn't "record" files (except from supported cameras). Screen capture software could record the file while it plays. I use Snapz Pro X.
