after I upgrade to lion GM my facetime doesn't work anymore, i've tried looking for certificates in keychain access but there's nothing there, can anyone help me solve this problem?

Same problem here. Seems there are fixes to this issue for Snow Leapord and others via DNS adjustment or keychain access certificates, but none seems to fix the issue on os lion. I've tried to clear out several diff certificates just in case - to no avail. please share some apple genius and get us back on factime! thx...

I can confirm this. Fresh Lion install, no previous FaceTime installation, just doesn't work. Tried my Apple ID, my alternate email for FaceTime, no luck either way. Keeps giving me the same error message you mentioned. The certificate fix does not work as no such certificate appears in Keychain Access.

Same here. Upgrade to Lion, no prev FaceTime. And still the same error as in the discussion title. Or in Dutch: Er heeft zich tijdens het verwerken van de registratie een fout op de server voorgedaan. Probeer het later opnieuw. Help!
I get the same 'The server encountered an error processing registration. please try again later' after my Lion upgrade. FaceTime cannot connect.
I was working at version 1.0.1 on SL, but lion upgraded it to 1.1 for Lion.
It's the same on Lion Appstore version (because it's the GM).

+1, same problem. upgraded to lion, facetime won't login. deleted certificates in keychain, still won't login.
Upgraded to Loin from SNow Leapard on both Macbook Pro 15" and iMac 21" with no issues. Oddly enough, Facetime works on iMac but not on Macbook. ???
