I turned on my iPhone 4 this morning and the lock screen is so large, I can only see a portion of the slider to unlock it. Conversely, I can't shut it down. Did I have any other option other than resetting it to fix the resolution problem?

tap on the touchscreen using three fingers.. you may have to do it a several times to get screen back to its normal size ... the you can turn off Zoom by going to Settings >> General >> Accessibility >> Zoom
As is explained in the manual ( Zoom Feature) double tap with three fingers.
This got me back. Had to do hard boot to get back entirely to having zoom entirely correct. Thanks
Another great option is to plug your phone into iTunes, and under the Summary tab where it says Options, there is a menu called configure accessibility. Make sure the zoom is not selected. Definitely helps when the taps aren't working out.
Thank you. It took quite a bit of time but I did finally get the size back to normal. I found Zoom and turned it OFF.
