After the upgrade to lion, I can not acitvate my Wi-Fi / Airport. Great job Apple, thank you very much. I am a lucky boy, since I have a late MacBook 2008 with ethernet. Is that now the future? Cable instead of wireless?

I'm having the same problem and cannot figure out why neither will connect to my network. The weird thing is that I can ping and access my network drive but I cannot put in the IP address of my router and access that. something is screwed up.
Resetting the SMC helps, thanks a lot, you saved me.
Wow, Lion, what a good start, the most advanced operating system killed something basic like a wi-fi connection.

If you can ping and access your network drive, your network connectivity is good. It is possible that the web server on your Access Point is hosed. Have you tried rebooting your Access Point ?
If you don't get prompted for a username/passwd when you access the page, it's most likely the Access Point web server crashing on you. Your Mac is working perfectly.

Very strange behaviour for an Apple OS!
same here... ón an imac though. can connect to airport, but not to the internet. cannot find the airport through the airport tool.... and all other macs not running Lion connects fine without any problems. tried the apv6 on and off - no difference - come on Apple
