Q: Installed Lion, now cannot connect to internet!!!

I'm having the same problem but it's my wireless that is not working. It shows connected but nothing will go online. My iPhone works fine. I tired the SMC reset and that didn't help.  Any other ideas?

Problems here too. I get connected, on the wi-fi, and then it cuts out after any given amount of time. No problems with any other wi-fi enabled devices. I have to turn the wi-fi off and on again on my Mac to get reconnected.

System Preferences - Network - Location

1. Edit locations - add a new location by clicking on the + sign in the lower left corner
2. Click "Done" and "Apply" the changes.
3. Return to the Edit locations and remove all the other ones (automatic is just a name....) ; Done and Apply.

Mark me down for the same problem.

Neither ethernet nor wifi connection to the internet works, but local network is just fine and dandy.

I've tried reinstalling Lion, disabling IPv6, resetting the SMC and creating a new location in the networks panel. Nothing's worked...

Nothing for me, still shows me connected but get no response.

Did you try it?

Do you see a green light in front of any of the connections?

Hmm if you don't see any green lights at all there is something else going on.

Before going any deeper do all this:

1. Unplug Cable / DSL modem from power
2. Unplug Router from power
3. Tun Computer(s) off
4. Wait at least one minute (yes 60 seconds or more...)
5. Turn Cable / DSL modem on wait for the lights to settle
6. Turn Router on
7. Tun Computer(s) on

Mine is showing all green, network diagnostics say I'm connected, I'm on the wifi right now on my iPad but still nothing on the computer.

At least you are connected to the internet.

Did you try to create a new location and remove all the other ones?
