Magic Mouse will not swipe left/right to navigate in browser or iPhoto (in Lion).

I just upgraded to Lion. One of the first things I noticed was the reversed scrolling on my Magic Mouse. I was not a fan, so I turned of the "natural" option. One of the great features of the magic mouse is the 2-finger swipe to navigate in my browser and to move around in iPhoto. Now the 2-finger swipe moves to a new screen (like on iPhone). I did not like that either, so I turned that off. However, this did not bring back the "old" swipe function in my browser or in iPhoto.

Has anyone figured out how to do this or is this feature now gone? Everything demonstrating the swipe function is on a laptop, but that is not what is working on my mouse.

I have also noticed that my pointer tends to randomly jump to the closest corner of the screen at times. Any ideas on this?

Sounds like you are just going through some teethng pain, you may want to turn those features back until you get used to them. After you do I think you'll see they're superior and more intuitive than the old method. If you're happy using a mouse great however you also might want to consider moving to a Magic Track Pad, IMHO that's really the future of where OS X is going.

I could use them until I am comfortable with them, but that does not address my question. The real question is "is the old swipe functionality still possible on the mouse?"

If it is, I have not found how to turn it on. I could swipe 2 fingers previously to do certain things, now I cannot...is this kind of functionality gone forever or is it hiding somehwere?

In the mouse properties, click swipe between pages. Under that theres a dropdown that lets you define which way to swipe. Hope this helps.

Ok, that works when the swipe with 2 fingers option is selected.

The default is one finger swiping for this and 2 finger swiping to switch between apps. One finger swiping did nothing at all when I tried it, but I had not tried selecting the 2 finger option after turning off the full-screen app switching function.

I would have liked to try the app switching some more, but it looks like I only get one or the other. If anyone is able to have both functions work, please let me know.

Hello I had the some problem. The solution is, don't use Firefox. It works well with safari or Chrom.
