Numbers can't even keep up with me typing.

At the beginning of the year I switched from pc to mac and thought it would be great but the programs are so slow and I constantly get the spinning beach ball of death if I try to go faster than the computer.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Are you getting this behavior only with Numbers as your title claims or with other apps as the plural used in your message let think ?

To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

If you get the behavior only with iWork applications, you are just facing a problem described here many times.

These apps suffer of what I named a 'design flaw'.

We just may hope that the next major evolution will get rid of that.

I don't know because for years M…oSoft products aren't allowed to enter my machines.
