please help i didn't get it from the app store now cant update to 10.7.1

As others have pointed out, you can't go from 10.7.2 back to 10.7.1.

If not, then your only option is to purchase Lion from the App Store and do a fresh install.

i don't want to go from 10.7.2 to 10.7.1 i want to upgrade from 10.7 to 10.7.1 software update gets an error

My apologies, I misunderstood what you wanted to do.

If you have acquired Lion through a non-legitimate source, then I would still recommend purchasing a legal copy from the App Store and doing a clean install. You should then be able to update to 10.7.1.

But you didn't purchase it from the App Store. Hmmm....

Anyway, hold down the Option key while clicking on 'Purchased' at the top. Against Lion, it should say 'Install' or 'Re-download'.

Go from there.
