Annoying infinite bounces of an icon on alert!!!

This installation of Lion was not as smooth as previous ones.

I have a lot of icons missing on my finder (I had a customized toolbar), several apps missing on the dock and several setting that I have done in Snow Leopard that now are lost.

For example, my Snow Leopard was fine tuned (I have typed a command on terminal) to disable the annoying icon bounce when an application has an alert. I had it bounce once and then stop. Now it is bouncing like **** again, annoying the **** out of me.

I cannot find on google the command I need to type on terminal to limit the number of bounces on an alert of an application. I am not talking about the bounces when the app runs, this is easy to disable. I am talking about the bounces on alert of an app.

Please help me restore my sanity. Thanks.

oh thanks to google, I have just find the command.

Open terminal and type

defaults write com.apple.dock no-bouncing -bool TRUE

pressing Enter after that.

Icons will continue to bounce on launch but will never bounce again on alert.
