Go to preferences/mouse (or trackpad if you have one) and you can change it there.

This is to mimic iOS, ie on a iPad or iPhone, you swipe down to go up and vice versa. It makes sense and is easy to get become accustomed.
You have to deselect scroll direction natural to get the old scroll direction.
just go to mouse pref and uncheck 'move content in the direction of finger movement'
Pretty dumb idea. Would be like Ford moving the steering wheel to right hand side of car (at least for us Gitmo-nation slaves; aka: USA) Yeah, we can get used to it, but why change something just for the sake of change?
Dumb move, its a compter with a mouse, not a touch UI tablet.
(but then how long did it take Apple to cave and add a second mouse button?)
It's actually very natural. It's not just for the sake in change IMO. If you're not comfortable with it you can always revert back to the old.
I hated it at first but got used to it in about five minutes. I disagree that it's a dumb idea; iPad/Pod/Phones are all set up this way. Mac users prefer the trackpad, so it is a touch UI.
I don't see how its more natural after 10 years of the other way. Maybe for someone whos never used a computer. Are there any in numbers that matter?
Mac users prefer trackpads? You speak for them? Certainly not for me.

Maybe they're righting a 10-year wrong...? Think of it this way: if there was a piece of paper on the table in front of you and you were looking straight down at it, how would you push it "up" with your finger?
it's easy to get used on opposite direction but still prefer the old ways, just a simple deselect and everything goes back to normal.
