4 finger swipe not working

Downloaded Lion this morning and the 4 finger swipe to move between full screen apps isn't working at all. It doesn't even try. I've tried toggling the settings, etc.

This is on a 27 inch iMac with a Magic Trackpad.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

On my Macbook Pro, it's still working - so I think there is something that went wonky. I read somwwhere tha tif you turn off all the selections and trun them on again, that may fix the issue. I'm not at home so I can't try that.

Any help would be great appreciated.

That worked for me. Thanks!

I had the same problem on my MacPro. The fix was very simple, I turned off all options for the trackpad under system preferences and merely turned them back on and voila all working again. One thing to note however before I did this I tried the four finger swipe holding down the option key and this worked.

Just as a recap.

1. Turn all options off in trackpad under system preferences

2. Quit system preferences

3. Re-open system preferences, open trackpad

4. Turn all options required back on, all should be working as normal by now

5. Quit system preferences.

Oddest thing, this has been happening to me on Lion but it seems like it kind of mangles the 3-finger and 4-finger motions. I have mine set to 4 for mission control, expose etc. This gets translated into 3 finger gestures.

The fix for me? Pulling the batteries from the trackpad and putting them back in.

I definitely think it is a bug of some nature.

I have a brand new macbook pro, 500 gigs of SSD drive!! Boots in 10 seconds... Anyway, point is, suddenly the 4 finger swipe up to get to mission control, stopped working. It seemed to kind of go like F11 does. I am posting this, because none of the threads I saw tried what I did ,and it worked for me. Restart your computer and hold down the command key, option key and letters r and p. All four of those keys together. When you reboot, keep holding those keys, until the computer chimes twice. (The boot chime). This is called zapping the pram, and it got my Mission Control working properly again. I earn my living taking care of 1,000 macs and 100 laptops as well as 18 servers. Not that I know it all, cause I don't, but I see a lot of stuff!
