After update to Lion FaceTime won't Work.

I also have the same problem, after I upgrade to Lion Facetime wont connect. When I started Facetime after upgrading Lion the app was set to be disabled, and I had to enable Facetime. Then after enterping my Apple ID and pass the app responded by

"The server encountered an error procesing regisitration. Please try again later." in RED.

I checked my system logs ( very un MAC like) I coun't find anything useful.

the console gives quite some obvious related error messages:

[Warning] FTFaceTimeServerBag: URL bag data invalid (not valid)

and

[Warning] TRUST validation failed with result 5

I have a same problem. Try all, and nothing!

Same again here, i have tried changing/deleting/alowing the certs but no joy!

Very frustrating..

On both Macbook Pro 2010, and Black Macbook...

Neither of which had any problems running Facetime 1.0.2 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8

Now on Lion 10.7 Facetime 1.1 will not authorise me..

"The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."

The error code is the same whichever Apple ID is used, and even if a non-existent user account is used. This seems to suggest that the bug is as likely to be with communication between Apple's servers and Facetime as it is a bug inside Lion itself.

Please sort it out Apple!

Hmm! Mine is working fine. I just tried it few minutes back. Infact I'm not registering, I already setup FaceTime on Lion.

Same problem here on an iMac. Unable to login and registering a new account is impossible.

Don't know if it's because i use the free facetime client which was there before the facetime app appeared in the appstore. So maybe i'm (we?) not getting the latest facetime client version (through the appstore)?

Fix it please Apple!

I have the same problem, worked fine with 10.6.8 but Facetime gives a message: "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." You can keep trying but it doesn't make a difference. Doesn't Apple test these OS releases with some of the more significant apps? Getting frustrating with issues, just like I was with my pc when I switched over.

This has been happening to me since the the first Developer Preview.. not sure why it hasn't been addresssed yet.
