i cannot install lion from mac appstore. i have a macbook pro early 2011 model with 10.6.8 and i keep getting a wierd error NSInternalInconsistencyException i have no idea what to do.

well i figured it out. the problem is that for some reason lion isnt downloading when you are using an internet connection that has firewalls. best bet is to try somewhere else like your house and not a usb 3g conection if you are doing that. i was having issues because i was doing it from my work, when i tried home i was able to download it and now i am running 10.7

I have this problem as well. Can't install/update any application via App Store.
My mac is connected through wifi to a wireless router that is connected through a vodafone usb 3G connection. Everything works well: HTTP, SSH, and even P2P protocols such as Bittorrent!
So, I don't have any reason to think that my ISP provider is the source of the problem.
This is more likely a bug in AppStore.
With Console.app I get the following messages from storeagent:
