Aug 23, 2011 8:48 PM in response to lhaleby sulako,Hi!
I have MB Air with preinstalled Lion. My Wi Fi connection is not stable (softly speaking). 7.1 update didn`t fix the problem.

check this thread
at the beggining you will find methods and links to fix the Wi Fi problem.
Only it is not the solution, it is a bug that should be fixed by Apple

Aug 24, 2011 1:06 AM in response to sulakoby Crash Report,I was able to fix my Wi-Fi in 10.7.1 by "disabiling" IPV6. Try changing Wi-Fi to "Link-Local" from "Automatic" on the Wi-Fi adapter. Would appreciate knowing if this helps others...

Aug 24, 2011 5:40 AM in response to Crash Reportby Gregory Zillgitt,That was one of the first things I tried. Didn't help.
What I've done is to start using a USB wifi adapter. Very inconvenient, but effective.

Aug 24, 2011 11:23 AM in response to lhaleby dozy,I'm also getting WiFi drops on my new iMac running 10.7.1 - especially after waking from sleep. My situation appears to be the same os that of Shaunmull (above) in that the Mac is staying connected to the router, but the connection appears as if the ISP has failed, so no apps can access the net. The problem resolves itself after experimental proddings such as mentioned above.
However an interesting point is that I have a MacBook Pro also running Lion 10.7.1 which has never had this problem; it's only apparent on the new iMac.

Aug 24, 2011 11:52 AM in response to Gregory Zillgittby Doc Dougherty,Gregory,
Who's USB WiFi adapter are you using and which driver is installed?
I am wondering if this is a driver issue or an Apple WiFi hardware implementation issue.
I have a Late 2011 mini and have not seen the issue at all with either 10.7 or 10.7.1.
It seems that we have verified that people with and without the issue are using the same WiFi chip so a chip design flaw seems unlikely.

Aug 24, 2011 12:10 PM in response to dozyby dozy,Just remembered - the MBP which doesn't have the problem was given a clean install of Lion (erase, repartition), whereas the iMac with the problem in all probability had Lion installed over Snow Leopard before I bought it.

I'm using an EnGenius EUB9603H adapter, which has its own driver of course.
I don't believe we're looking at a hardware problem at all. Many computers (mine included) worked fine with SL. The 10.7 update is what broke WiFi.

Aug 25, 2011 9:21 AM in response to dozyby man02195,I was "drop free" for about a week with 10.7.1, now the drops are back just like before. Wifi "radar" shows connected, but ping doesn't work. Crazy.

Aug 25, 2011 9:56 AM in response to lhaleby Undercover101,I have a Mid-2007 Macbook w/ 10.7.1 installed. Did a full clean install of snow leopard then upgraded to lion through the app store (not a clean install for lion) I have installed Lion twice and I am still having wifi drop outs. It is definiatly a software issue.

Aug 26, 2011 6:08 AM in response to Lucastro74by MikeN1805,HiHo,
having the same problem with a MacBook and an (older) iMac I did call Apple Support. I reconfigured the WLAN router and switched from 802.11 n+b+g to 802.11 b+g only... seems to work for the time being. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this will work until there is an update available :-)
Ciao
