Sep 9, 2011 6:04 AM in response to lhaleby aberges,HI,
I have an end of 2009 iMac 21.5 inch (Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz) , and I can just confirm that I still have the WiFi dropping issue with the last upgrade of Lion 10.7.1 and this is not only after the sleep, it could be anytime. When I re-boot my Mac it seems to stay stable for a quit long period, but then it bugs again.
I have both a ISP router and Airport Express but there is no difference, the dropping occurs with both.
Before upgrading to Lion, I had never never experimented an issue on Wi-Fi connection. WiFi was perfectly working on Snow Leopard.
In addition, I have an iPad and a MacBook Pro bought 2 weeks ago (so with Lion), they both work perfectly.
After reading this forum, I'm sure Apple got a Wi-Fi issue between some machines, at least with the iMac, and Lion.
As regular customer of Apple, it is the first time I'm disapointed by a quality issue like this one, I'm sure they are doing their best to fix quickly the issue. The first step will be to recognize officialy there is an issue and then commit a date to fix it.

Sep 9, 2011 7:28 AM in response to Archerby DaDrainer,I also experience drops at random times in my office and my iMac is located almost under an AP.
Would this changing of settings work on any of my machines using Lion? I have 8 Macs, all using WIFI.
"
Setup WiFi to Auto 802.11b/g/n, Auto WPA/WPA2 Personal, fixed to TKIP-PSK (instead of AES) and issued a 16 character AlphaNumeric password, set Channel to Auto or in some countries Channel 1 & 5 is Auto all other settings unchanged. That solved the MB Air's WiFi dropping out issue for good.

Sep 9, 2011 11:52 AM in response to lhaleby Babele75,I have updated my OS to 10.7.1 but my Wi-Fi is dead. I try to connect with LAN and it's all OK then I try to go near, about 1 meter, to router with Wi-Fi ON and LAN OFF and it's ok.
What are you doing, Apple?

Sep 9, 2011 1:35 PM in response to lhaleby togume,Posting again to add more momentum to this...
I'm going back to a client site on Monday where this problem occurs all the time. They have a load balanced Cisco WCS wireless infrastructure, non-secured in the Guest network that I use.
Apple Engineers: I'll be available for debugging/testing if need be.

Sep 9, 2011 6:55 PM in response to lhaleby Greg Schneck,Just adding my name to list. Wifi still dropping after latest Lion update. My MBP running Snow Leopard has Rock Solid Wifi connectiosn and my iPad is also Rock Solid. My wife's Windows machine is Rock Solid. But my iMac with Lion 10.7.1 randomly drops wifi OFTEN. This is very dissappointing. All the "tips and tricks" to help have NOT helped.

Sep 9, 2011 10:33 PM in response to lhaleby arajek,Was having the same issues but this change fixed it for me.
My wireless router was set to broadcast on 'N'. I changed it to 'G' and everything has been smooth since. Of course my connection is not as fast but at least the computer stays connected.
FYI: I have a new iMac with Lion.
-
Sep 9, 2011 11:34 PM in response to lhaleby Glen51,I too have the constant drop out and I'm not prepared to go to 'G' as I have 7 devices attached to the router and only the Lion iMac (10.7.1) has any problem. The others include iPad2, iPhone4 & 3 AirPort devices.

Sep 10, 2011 2:43 PM in response to lhaleby maschess,It appears from reading this and many similar posts that Apple is not in the game here. I am having the same problem with WiFI dropping intermiitently since the Lion update. 2 years on Snow Leopard had zero problems. NOTHING has changed in my environment except the Lion update(s). I have tried many of the suggestions in these posts. Some things have helped reduce the frequency... but nothing has fixed it.
I'm just adding my name to the complaints I guess, in the hopes that Apple will some day get interested.

Sep 10, 2011 3:19 PM in response to maschessby kalchy,Interestingly, my problem seems to have been resolved. I wad using rowmote to control my mini, now in using a Bluetooth mouse on my iPhone 4. Must be a protocol issue somewhere in the OS.

Sep 10, 2011 3:39 PM in response to kalchyby Colmschate,Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro late 2010. Originally with Snow Leopard (withouth any problems) now with Lion. Since about two weeks I have issues with connecting to the wireless network when powering up after sleep. As of today my MBP can't connect to the wireless network anymore. Although I have several devices (apple/windows) wirelessly connected Lion says I enter the wrong WPA2 password. WHich isn't the case obviously - all my other devices work ok. I read several fora, but didn't find this issue, nor the solution. So I add this issu to the stack and hope apple will look into the matter. I filed a complaint via itunes/app store.
