MD5-checksum for OSX 10.7 Lion (version released via Mac Appstore)

Did Apple publish the checksum of the OSX download? Is there an official source?

I'd like to verify the integrity of my download by comparing the MD5-checksum. Unfortunately I cannot find an official reference from Apple.

Developers say the checksum for the Golden Master is:

Build: 11A511

checksum of InstallESD.dmg - MD5: b5d3753c62bfb69866e94dca9336a44a

Other say the retail version (App Store) should show build 11A494.

I wonder about checksum too.

Today I tried to use function of "Internet recovery" (command+R during startup) in order to get InstallESD.dmg file locally (for using it times after as ORIGINAL backup dvd, because I dont even want to hear anything about MacOSX distribution files on different torrent resources, etc.). I succseeded in saving dmg file, but I was quite confused when I get sha1 checksum that any internet search engine that I've tried to use don't even know it. I saw log file that says that failed to download correctly chunks were re-downloaded, etc., but as a some sort of tech specialist I know that there is possibility for chunk files in some cases not being merged correctly. While trying to mount dmg file it tries to check it's integrity, but we all know that it's not a kind of panacea procedure.

So sha1 (for a good sake) checksum is the only way to be happy of knowing that in your Mac everything IS the way it MUST be.

So there are several questions I might mention about that:

1. What are correct checksums for MacOSX 10.7.5 (11g63) release?

2. Is there an option to get PRODUCT's direct download link for users, who have devices with same PRODUCT preinstalled on it (for examle in "Manage your AppleID" section)?

Well, I knew that my questions would not be answered, so I performed attempt to find answer for my first question by myself.

Here are results (brief mode):

InstallESD_1: unpacked dmg (downloaded from WWW)

InstallESD_2: unpacked dmg (saved during "Internet recovery")

user@dd:~/Downloads$ diff -qr InstallESD_1/ InstallESD_2/

Files InstallESD_1//Packages/RemoteDesktop.pkg and InstallESD_2//Packages/RemoteDesktop.pkg differs

Files InstallESD_1//Packages/SIUResources.pkg and InstallESD_2//Packages/SIUResources.pkg differs

...

user@dd:~/Downloads$ ls RemoteDesktop_1

Bom PackageInfo Payload [TOC].xml

user@dd:~/Downloads$ ls SIUResources_1

Bom PackageInfo Payload [TOC].xml

...

user@dd:~/Downloads$ diff -qr RemoteDesktop_1/ RemoteDesktop_2/

Files RemoteDesktop_1/[TOC].xml and RemoteDesktop_2/[TOC].xml differs

user@dd:~/Downloads$ diff -qr SIUResources_1/ SIUResources_2/

Files SIUResources_1/[TOC].xml and SIUResources_2/[TOC].xml differs

user@dd:~/Downloads$ diff RemoteDesktop_1/\[TOC\].xml RemoteDesktop_2/\[TOC\].xml

So sha1 for MacOSX 10.7.5 (11g63): a044fc01fa75b1f255dbdd6ea4fefa30cef147b0

is good.

For those who are interested in question/

cheers
