4-Finger Swipe Between Apps Not Working

I have the magic trackpad and clearly lion but when i checked the option to use 4 fingers to navigate between full screen apps, it does not work. I have safari, itunes, and mail open but cant navigate between them. On a side note, did anyone figure out how to navigate between desktops? The only way i found was go to mission control and select your desktop from there but that kind of defeats the purpose of having them. Thanks in advance.

I was experiencing the same thing. Was able to fix it by doing the following

  1. Open Trackpad prefs.
  2. Switch to the More Gestures tab
  3. Change the Swipe between full-screen apps option from 4 to 3 fingers.
  4. Try swiping between desktops/apps with 3 fingers and it should work
  5. Change the same option back to 4 fingers.

On my Macbook Pro + Magic trackpad, this got the gestures working properly again.
