Oct 13, 2011 10:05 AM in response to nipper123by moskovit,No problems for me since updating to 10.7.2, but then again, the problems were only intermittent before 10.7.2, so it may be too early to tell. I'll let y'all know if the situation changes.
By the way, note that Apple's release notes say only the following about wi-fi: "Address an issue that may cause a delay in accessing the network after waking from sleep." If you have a different wi-fi problem, I wouldn't expect 10.7.2 to fix it.

Oct 13, 2011 10:43 AM in response to moskovitby bryce136,Last night I upgraded fromSnow Leopard to Lion on my imac, It installed Lion 10.7.2 from the app store. Since installing I can only momentarily connect to the interent thru the wi-fi, after loading a web page or 2 it will not load pages. That being said the wifi remains connected to the router but just does not connect to pages. My lap top which remains on Snow leopard connects fine as well as my Gf's mac book pro, my ipad, iphone etc.
I called Apple Care and they ran me through many things to try none of which worked, any new suggestions?

Oct 13, 2011 11:01 AM in response to gokku3by DaPunk,Because kext file for 10.6.4 is no support Atheros 9380. If you want downgrade just use kext for 1.0.6.8 or 10.6.6 (for imac 2011 only)
Atheros 9380 compare version for mac
4.0.34.4 - 10.6.6 (for imac 2011 only)
4.0.35.3 - 10.6.7-8
4.0.55.4 P2P - 10.7.0-1 lion
4.0.58.4 P2P - 10.7.2
I downgrade to 4.0.35.3 is work on lion wifi is stable but I don't why airport can't auto connect to network when startup or try sleep and wake.
I confirm lion 10.7.2 is still drop connect wait me to test 4.0.34.4 i just found the kext file.

Oct 13, 2011 1:08 PM in response to lrogersinlvby BenM77,I was having wifi drop outs and went through apple support, I have fixed this problem now and have waited a few days to make sure.
1. On my router I have assigned my iMac with an ip address to use all the time.
2. Turn off wifi
3. Go to utilities-keychains and delete your router keychain
4. Using disk utility, repair disk permissions
5. Hd/library/preferences/ systemconfiguration, open folder and delete all contents then clear trash.
6. Shutdown computer and turn off power at socket for 15sec
7. Start up
8. System preferences/network.
9. Edit locations and put in your own ( I used HOME)
10. advanced options TCP/IP
11. Drop down select dhcp with manual address
12. In IP, put number you have assigned in router.
13. Put wifi at top of order of service.
Check safari works ok, restart computer.
This has worked for me and has also helped with my appletv2 problems :-)

Oct 13, 2011 2:55 PM in response to Lily1000by richjjohn,Thanks Lily1000,
I had the same problem after installing Lion this week. I asked two Apple Store "Genius's" what to do, and they each started talking about routers and modems. My next step was to call Apple "800", but I knew they too would have me going through all kinds of needless resets etc.. I saw your post and five seconds later all was well.
Thanks again

Oct 13, 2011 3:29 PM in response to richjjohnby ChristianMoehler,In my case WLAN works and the Macbook Air connects after sleep if I have no bluetooth-device installed.
If I add the magic mouse or the bluetooth keyboard, the Air doesn't connect automatically after restart or sleep.
I have installed 10.7.2.
It is very sad, that this problem is not solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't understand this!!!

Oct 13, 2011 10:08 PM in response to lrogersinlvby dean_j_arnold,For those experiencing issues where the AirPort works using WiFi G (54) but will not work over WiFi N (130/300), make sure that WMM (WiFi Multimedia) is enabled on your router.
As soon as I enables WMM for my 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz WiFi's on my NetGear WNDR3700, my 2011 iMac now works flawlessly over N WiFi; no packet drops using extended ping test and can run speedtest.net
Here's a post from NetGear Support forums: http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=59278&highlight=imac
Here's the post on Apple Discussion that lead me there: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3257143?start=0&tstart=0

Oct 14, 2011 7:46 AM in response to dean_j_arnoldby @pple_Unknown,Hello Apple Community.
I have read through the majority of this forum and the solutions and ideas you provide are great! However, none of this work with my Mac Book Air.
The issue I am expiriencing is as follow:
I was running Lion 10.7.1 on the MAC book air. Wireless connected without issues at school. The way wireless works at school is through an authentication page where you first select the WIFI and then open up SAFARI and authenticate via username and password. After the update to 10.7.2, the page will not load at all.
Check with school to see if there was any certificate issues, but they stated that nothing has changed. Tried different browsers Firefox, Chrome, but not luck. The page just pretents to load and it never does.
The odd thing about this issue is that my friend is running Lion 10.7.1 and it works for him. So I am begining to think that the issue is related to 10.7.2
I would appreciate any suggestions to solve this issue; otherwise i will have to downgrade to 10.7.1, which will mean a clean install on Lion.

Oct 14, 2011 11:02 AM in response to lrogersinlvby Oblongthegreat,Hey guys,
Thought I'd share what worked for me...
Upgraded to 10.7.2 last night (MBP 15" 2010) and wifi would work for about 2 minutes and then stop. Finally resolved the issue by manually changing the MTU size from 1500 to a lower figure (I chose 1490)
To change MTU:
System preferences - network (wi-fi tab) - advanced - hardware - configure manually.
I also changed my IPV6 configuration to link-local only, but I don't think this actually helped resolve any issues.
Hope this does the trick for other people...
