Is there any way to get SRS iWOW to work with itunes 10.4?

Does anyone know if SRS iWow is disabled when running iTunes in 32-bit too or only when running Lion in 64-bit?

I went back to 10.3.1 using Time Machine (Snow Leopard) after installing 10.4 which broke iWOW.

I'll update again if/when SRS fixes it.

When you force iTunes 10.4 to launch in 32bit mode, iWow runs but you get an error about the menu item not being inserted. Under 32bit mode you get the sound improvement but I cannot find a way to access the control panel for iWow. When you launch iTunes 10.4 in 64bit mode, it is like the plugin does no even exist. There are no errors, no control panel available, and no sound improvement.

SRS has issued a fix - d/l the latest version from the SRS iWOW Web site.

They resolved the error (and lack of access to the control panel) when booting iTunes in 32bit mode, but the plugin is still absent from 64bit mode.

So if you want iWOW to work you will need to run iTunes in 32 bit for the time being.

So, where IS the dl with the fix?? I've spent 30 minutes searching the site and been unable to locate it. Do you have to re-download the entire application as if a new purchase?

Just d/l the app again and run the installer.

iWow is working in the background. Also with new version 3.2 no menu in iTunes 10.4 (32Bit). But it's possible to force open the control panel of iWow.

1. close iTunes

2. open Terminal

3. type: defaults write com.srs.iwow ShowWindow -bool true

4. reopen iTunes in 32Bit

Ignore the error message for the menu installation (hopefully solved in version 3.3).

iWow has been fixed to work with iTunes 64 bit. Download the installer for iWow (http://www.srslabs.com/store/store/downloads.asp) and reinstall it.

Be warned it asked for my registration number again, so make sure you have that handy.

Thanks dude. You saved my life. I've waiting for this fix from SRS Lab since July when Lion was installed. I didn't know where to look and not sure if they are working to fix this. I can enjoy music again. Cheers.
