This was a feature I really liked about SL

Agreed. I have to say I'm at a loss for how to actually use Mission Control. I can't figure out why in the world they would have removed minimized windows. I enabled App Expose in System Preferences and this offers an inconvenient work around, but even then the minimized windows are so tiny that you cannot actually see what's in the minimized window, so what's the point? Why play hide and seek with minimized windows? I thought the point of MC was to see everything at once!?

Sort of reminds me when they first implemented Spaces and basically made it unusable by tying an application to a particular space regardless of whether you wanted to use it that way. It was half-baked and I never went back to using it, even though I think they may have fixed that issue.

exactly my point. MC you are suppost to see everything. I used expose alot on SL and it was very helpful for me to access and see the minimized windows. Why take that away on MC?

I have tried enabling app expose in settings with the 3 finger down swipe, its useless to me at this point. they should send out an update. just make a few squares on the bottom of mission control for minimized windows. would help my work out alot.

Where can I find app expose in system prefrences. And I agree with you that is one of the features I used all the time

    trackpad settings

    Thanks

i gues as i do not have a track pad that option does not exist for me as I can not find it in there. Thought a magic mousec could do it as well

I already tried that but i was able to view the minimized windows only the first time.

I just found out that you can see the minimized Window basically have your F key or one corner set to Application window and activate that and then hit the TAB key so you can scroll to all open Applications and windows and your minimzied windows show up on the bottme small but there are there , not like before but at least a work around

That's called App Expose and we were talking about it above.

Matt Oceans: I don't understand why "trackpad settings" are the "Correct Answer."

    The question is this:

anyway to show minimized windows in mission control??!!

Trackpad settings do not allow this!

I just spoke to AppleCare and the have eliminated this feature from Lion. They may add it back in if enough people request it.

They had no explanation for why minimized windows are now hidden from Mission Control, or any suggestions for how to create workflow to avoid hiding windows.

Track pad settings is the correct way to enable app expose. First time using this forum. Sorry sir.

App Expose is fine if you knew the window you were looking for was minimized, instead of hidden behind another window.

Also you need to be in that app to bring up its minimised windows - which is irritating if you are using more than one app to manipulate files.

    Consider this: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

At first I thought, "my app expose isn't working right, it's only showing the window I have selected," but I realized you were right. It will show a minimized window if I have another window of that program open and selected when I activate app expose.

For the life of me I cannot figure out why Apple would not have included the ability to see minimzed windows in Mission Control which, as others have pointed out, is supposed to be where you see "everything, all in one place."

I left feedback. Hopefully this squeaky wheel gets noticed.

Also, did anyone else notice that OSX 10.7 is not an option on the feedback form. Odd.

Thanks for agreeing. Maybe they will issue a software update soon that will fix mission control.  It might be a bug that no minimized windows show ?

Perhaps they took into perspecitve that you can see the minimized windows in your dock while looking at mission control?
