Dymo Label Printers and Lion
Dymo's website says Dymo does not support Lion. I have a 450 Twin Turbo that now does not work with Lion. Has anyone found a workaround until Dymo updates their drivers?

I have the Dymo LabelWriter Twin Turbo and this also does not work with Lion.
Think we will just have to wait until Dymo update the application software and drivers. I am having to print address labels onto A4 paper and cut out with sissors and stick on with sellotape!
Same goes for my LabelWriter 400 and 10.7
Dymo did not base their Mac OS X drivers on CUPS, but rather the Mac OS X 10.0 printing architecture. Until DYMO releases new drivers for 10.7, you are out of luck.
I'd be amused if you could use the Linux PPD files. Anyone try that?
I Imed Dymo support today and they said:
"I know they have a beta of version 8.3.1 to address this. And I expect to hear word any time now that it is released. But right now the best advise I can give is to keep an eye on our Drivers & Downloads page at the web site dymo.com.
It really does look like any day, literally.
Sorry, I can't provide a solution right now. But keep an eye on the site. Because as soon as it is available, it will be posted there."
So maybe there is some hope.
Dymo has posted Lion info and a way to get notified by them when drivers are released:
I have a Labelwriter 400 Turbo and what I did was the following:
1) Installed the Dymo driver for Snow Leopard (or I may have had it already installed)
2) Open System Preferences>Printers..
3) Pressed the + button
4) Selectted Add Other Printer or Scanner...
5) Found and selected my Dymo
At this point, Lion could not find the exact driver, so I had to find the driver by typing Dymo in the driver search field. There was only a single driver called Dymo Label. I selected that and it seems to work.
It may not be perfect since the icon for the printer in generic, but it will do until Dymo comes out with the official release. For Snow Leopard, I think it took them a month or so.
I don't know if I'm simply lucky, but my Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo was simply paused after installing Lion. When I resumed it, it printed a label just fine.
It's better to be lucky than good!
Hmm! I am holding off from installing Lion because of the Dymo problem - I wonder if anyone else has found that their Dymo DID work after installing Lion?
Some Dymo's work. Some don't. But you will need Dymo 10.7 compatible drivers to be sure. See the Dymo site to be notified when they are available:
After visiting this thread and seeing that the Dymo was working for some people I decided to give the upgrade to 10.7 a try.
LabelWriter 400 Turbo + Software Version 8.3.0.1413 works for me as well.
The printer was paused after the Lion update.
I resumed it and printed one of my saved labels, this simple test was fine.
My Fujitsu ScanSnap S300M also works as before, scans no problems with 10.7 - even though updated Lion drivers are on the way.
Did the above and it didn't work. It wouldn't print...
You will have an iffy situation until Dymo releases Lion compatible drivers
Dymo is aiming 29 July for release the drivers for OS X Lion and only work first for the US
New drivers at https://dymo.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/101 Haven't tried them yet, but supposed to work with Lion
