I upgrade to Lion OS10.7 today.
I discovered that the Microsoft version for Mac on my computer is no longer supported by the new OS.
I want to transfer mail that I had downloaded onto my Mac using Entourage.
Attempting to Import the mailbox into Mail gives me an error: "Unable to locate Microsoft Entourage mailboxes to import".
Any suggestions?

There's no way to do this.
I can see the Entourage database in my Documents > Microsoft User Data > Office 2004 Identities > Main Identity >
The file was last accessed and modified less than a month ago (which is when I accessed my mail via Entourage last).
No way to convert this data?
You'll need to run Entourage and tell it to export the mailbox out to a common format, such as mbox. Then you can import that data into Mail. I did that a few months ago with about 150 thousand messages; worked perfectly.
Since you apparently have Office 2004, you'll need to do this with a Mac that still has Snow Leopard on it.

I had no idea too, tatsuo1958... What kind of Apple world are we leaving in, where they can decide without a RED WARNING to obsolete all PowerPC apps ?! Bye bye word and excel and powerpoint 2004 (only 20 years from 1984...). Not long ago,could you imagine what would have happened if Microsoft had done something of that kind?
Exactly! I did not get any notice that this new OS was going tom break anything so serious on my Mac. Not Apple!
I have talked to Apple Support directly since I posted this issue and seen other articles on the web. Apple removed Rossetta from the OS, which provided support for the PowerPC processor architecture.
I installed a trial version of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac and I was able to import all of my Entourage 2004 mailboxes into Outlook 2011. However, I am unable to export said mailboxes in ANY format that Mac Mail can then import!
Microsoft does not offer any version of Office 2011 as an upgrade, so I am forced to buy a full version at $279.00 in order to keep my messages.
I have also seen other ways to get the messages out of Outlook if I drag the individual messages onto my desktop. The messages will appear as .eml files, which Mail can then open. But I don't want to have to do this for 1000+ messages.
