Disk Utility and Apple RAID (v2) Sets

I've upgraded to Lion. The install was successful and all functionality seems to be there. I have a RAID-0 setup for my "boot". When I use disk utility, I'm unable to run the "Verify Disk" option. Clicking on it does nothing; however it does work for my external Time Machine backup disk.

It appear to be a bug in Disk Utility; I've always been able to run "Verify Disk" on my RAID set.

I have the same problem. Upgraded to 10.7 using a clean install and migrate from Time Machine backup. Now when I try to use Disk Utility I have the same problem photog1 has. I can see and click on "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk Permissions" but nothing happens when I do!

Any info would be much appreciated!

Similarly to Adam's solution I am able to do the verification and permission repair if I boot from the OS X 10.6 install DVD. However, I don't see this as a solution, merely a temporary patch!

Certainly not ideal since Snow Leopard's permissions could differ from those required in Lion. No point really in going to the trouble of setting permissions in this way if you cannot be sure they're being set correctly.

Is there any way to report this issue directly to Apple?

Here would be a good place:-

I upgraded to OS X 10.7 using a clean install and then migrated from a Time Machine backup of 10.6. My operating system is on a Raid 10 partition. Now when I try to use Disk Utility I can not use "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk Permissions" on my OS boot partition. I can see and click on "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk Permissions" but nothing happens when I do! Is there a reason for this? Do I need to recreate my raid setup with 10.7? Would the raid be different in some way if I were to do it from the 10.7 version of Disk Utility?

Any info would be much appreciated!
