Java Issues
Basically I made this section because the new Lion OS has java problems clearly.
Just wanted to know when this might be fixed.

OK. What trouble shooting steps have you done so far?
Is this a mandatory installation for Lion? I would like to know this before installing. Thanks for your help. 🙂

This release installs Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_26. OS X Lion does not provide a Java runtime by default.
Please quit any web browsers before installing.
I downloaded it, but I play a game called RuneScape, and it uses Java & it still wont work!
Bummer you may want to check with the game developer.

The developers for RS Is Jagex.
Doesn't Java itself have to change a setting allowing Lion OS users to use the java that is needed or something?
Same here VinAppz. It loads the loading screen of the game then goes black. Not sure what to do about it, it doesn't work in any browsers that I know of, I'm sure it's happening to a lot of people.
Yea you can click Java in Utilities after you download it to change some settings to allow it to work in web browsers but then it did what I just said.

Its from Jagex's side that the problem is. Well technically it is the way this version of Java is programmed to use and display Java and Runescape doesn't really know how to use it. So Jagex will have to update.... In a couple Months. |
