air drop
I don't see air drop in the sidebar on a machine, anyone has seen this?

Once you have 2 computers running Lion, then you will see Air Drop in the side bar. 😉

Incorrect. If you can use AirDrop, it always shows in the sidebar.
Not all hardware configurations are supported. If it is not in the sidebar under Favorites (and checked to show in Finder Preferences), you don't have it. There was another thread earlier with the hardware configurations, but I couldn't find it just now - you might want to try to search for Airdrop here. How old is your Mini?
Yes, no joy, I see it on two MacBooks but not on the Mac mini.

Thank you for the article link, which answered my question posted elsewhere - why I have air drop on both my laptops but not my 2008 vintage iMac.
Yes it doesn't show up on my Mac Pro 2009. Bummer
In order to use Airdrop, both computers must be running Lion. If you have Snow Leopard on one and Lion on the other, your not going to see Airdrop in your menu!

Can you help with my post? Both on Lion, airdrop showing but they cannot see each other - hence not working but visble on both machines:-(
