iTunes 10.4.0.80 does not allow copy / paste for album artwork.
Only importing picture now works. Any one else having this problem?

Windows XP
Since updating to 10.4 on both Vista and XP I can no longer copy and paste artwork. Importing works OK.
Pasting seems to corrupt the clipboard.
It just pastes a blank image. Hopefully this is fixed in the next patch. Unless someone knows another way to fix bug.
Having the same problem this morning after updating to 10.4.0.80.
same issue w/ vista.. i tried to import as well and nothing.. also, song count between itunes and ipod is off.. gotta love those updates!
I'm running Windows 7 btw.
Same issue here. I can, however copy and paste images from within iTunes.
Haven't tried that yet....not that it would help with the functionality. They need to fix this quick!
I'm running Windows 7 (64-Bit) and am having the same problem since updating to version 10.4. As someone who is meticulous about how my album covers show, I hope that this is taken care of as soon as possible.
I did not have this issue, album artworks copy/paste/add/delete work just fine. I did a clean install.
Looks like the issue occurs when the clipboard holds image data rather than a link to a file. With image data in the clipboard iTunes just adds invisible artwork (the dimensions are there) but pasting a .png or .jpg file works fine.

You're very lucky! I uninstalled 10.4 in correct sequence using Revo Uninstaller, restarted and reinstalled but still
having this problem of not being able to copy/paste album artwork.
I'm a 'newbie' and this is my first post, does it usually take long for Apple to iron out these bugs?
Cheers.
Have you tried to drag & drop artwork instead of copy & paste? It seems to work just fine too.
The only issue I've faced with album artwork is what turingtest2 has mentioned, which is hardly an issue for me since I use MP3tag to edit ID3 metadata.
Hope that helps,
Continuing from my previous post, I just thought I'd add that I have just managed to copy/paste album
artwork into iTunes by right clicking picture/copy (Amazon) using IE9, I usually use Google Chrome or
Opera. I'm not too computer savvy, so I don't know if this is of any significance, I'll see if it works with
Chrome tomorrow.
The distinction is between passing a reference to a file and passing a reference to an image held in the copy buffer. I typically resize non-square images in Paint.NET, select the image, copy it, then paste into the Get Info window. That doesn't work at present so I have to take the extra steps of saving the image somewhere first and then dragging & dropping it into iTunes.

In that case you might consider using 7plus
http://code.google.com/p/7plus/
It adds tons of features to windows, plus it fixes iTunes album artwork issue too.
Hope that helps,
