I'm having the exact same issue, same error code too. I switched off photo syncing with Aperture and like you, I can now sync again...just no pics 😟 Lion support, are you reading these?
Just realized the apps arent syncing anymore, either 😟
I think it may be down to libraries synced with facebook and/or flickr as when I do a slective photo sync and choose my local albums (well the flickr and facebook ones don't appear) it works. Haven't tried app syncing as there aren't any updates for me at the moment.
I had the same problem. Like Plucker mentioned already it is due to Albums/Projects synced with FB, Flickr etc. I had one FB photo in one of my Albums. After deleting it from the Album the sync worked fine with iTunes/iPhone.
Thinl I founfd the solution. Its based on an older known issue:
The "-50 error" appears to be overcome by doing the following. Essentially you have to delete your current iPhoto or Aperture cache files.
Follow the instructions in the Apple articles below...it appears to be working for me.....

and several others.
The trick for people using aperture is that this directory is inside the aperture library file (the .aplibrary file).
Having removed this directory itunes is now regenerating the optimized photos
Same problem here. Fixed by removing Facebook sync.
However, I'd like to keep my facebook sync - so wil try removing cache next.
I had a similar problem (without error message but iTunes didn´t sync photos from Aperture with my iPad and iPhone) and deleting iPod Photo Cache folder solved it completely.
Thanks Brian.
OK, deleting iPod Photo Cache folder works .... ONCE!!! Meaning that the following sync presented me the same error.
No Web Accounts whatsoever (no fb, no mm, no flickr) here.
PS: Anyone got an idea whether iCloud's Photo Stream will be available also in Aperture?
Here is the trick:
You have to open up the Aperture library file and delete the ipode photo cache folder out of there.
then it all works.
