After today's updates, user/library folder has gone hidden as a system folder...is that normal? Tried repairing permissions, but still is hidden. Should I worry? thx!

Yes, it's normal. If you hold down the Option key in the Finder the folder will appear in the list under Go in the menu.

It looks like an attempt by Apple to simplify the UI for less knowledgeable users. I'm not sure it's a good idea (and it's certainly an irritant for me personally 😟 ) but that's how it is.
Well that's just stupid if true...there was no attempt to hide the system library! perhaps it's just a bug...let's hope.
I don't belive it's a bug. I believe it's by design.
If you can't cope with the Option+Go method or need the Library during more complex operations, you can enter the following command into Terminal:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
