Please help! does iTunes normally install these files? (Windows 7 64 bit)

I just installed iTunes and noticed a folder called {93E26451-CD9A-43A5-A2FA-C42392EA4001} located in my ProgramData folder which I'm pretty sure wasn't there before. In it there is a folder called x64 which contains the following files:

DIFxAPI.dll,

DifXInstall64.exe,

DIFxInstallLog.txt

GEARAspiWDM.inf

gearaspiwdmx64.cat

There is also another folder within this folder with the same name (x64) which contains the following files

GEARAspi.dll

GEARAspi64.dll

GEARAspiWDM.sys

I googled the {93E26451-CD9A-43A5-A2FA-C42392EA4001} folder and some of the files within it and saw countless results related to viruses. Should I be worried? Or is this normally installed by iTunes?

Hi. 🙂

I googled the filenames you mentioned in your post, they seem to be part of a CD burning software called GEAR software. According to File.net, iTunes uses this software. Is there anything wrong with your computer, like high CPU useage?
