I bought a new Mac from the Apple Online Store on 29th June. It is all registered and showing up as such on the Applecare look-up page.
When I now go to the Lion up-to-date page to try and retrieve my upgrade, it gives me the error message:
"Sorry, we can't find the serial number you provided. Please recheck your serial number and enter it again."
Anybody else seeing this, particularly if you purchased from the Apple Online Store?
Same here, ordered my MBP online, no dice with the up-to-date page. I did the manual proof of purchase thing the moment it failed. I've been waiting for 2 days and still they haven't verified my purchase 😟. I heard it has something to do with the service being swamped. I thought it would be sorted by now.
Sent the form too, I was told over the phone it would take 24-48 hours, but its been nearly 72. I've read that people are having luck calling and getting accounts credited for the download fee, you might try calling.
Just a quick update. I got my key yesterday(Saturday). That was after waiting 2 days and 12 hours. I updated and everything is running smooth. I had called them once but it was of no help, the guy just told me to fill in the form and I didn't since I'd already done it. I bought my MBP on the 8th of June. Cheers and goodluck.
Congrats 🙂... It's been about 3 days and a couple of hours on my end... I've got an appointment at the local store tonight, we'll see if that does any good.
Finally got my code a couple of days ago. no help at all from calling Apple or visiting the store, as it finally came in response to the online form.
