Hello everyone,
I just installed Lion on my Macbook Air 13 inches, and I cannot "pinch to zoom" anymore in the Finder or on the desktop. (but it works fine in Aperture for example)
Anyone has this problem ? I checked the options, but could not find anything.

It doesn't work anymore and I'm fed up with Apple playing with features that made it superior to Windows.
I wonder if this is a result of Apple employing former Microsoft idiots that are now formally Apple idiots

I checked many forums, and it's gone, no one can do it anymore.
They could have at least added a small menu allowing quickly to switch from small, medium and large thumbnails, like there is on Windows XP and 7.
Well, let's look around the web to replace that useless Finder...

But if it is a decision, it is unacceptable.
So now your first priorities for 10.7.1 is to restore the function "pinch to zoom" in the Finder.

Yeah, this is terrible. Even the icon resize scroll bar that is part of the status bar does not work!
SL made in every of its parts impression to be a very "thought through" system. But Lion is just tries to look nice, but it's not as efficient to use as SL.
Feature gone with snow leopard,you can resize in show view options but no pinching..

Pinching was allowed with Snow Leopard, I used it all the time.
In Lion, it is just... gone ! It's not even an option.
Really disappointed... such a basic feature such as resizing thumbnails, don't tell me OS X cannot do that ???
yes, what in the world is going on with this latest OS, even claimed to be world's most advanced!?
I was shocked enough when I realized no 4finger swipe to switch apps, and 3finger swipe to go back and forth between pages not working when you have 3finger drag enabled
now what's utterly frustrating is NO MORE PINCH TO ZOOM IN FINDER
this is like one of the most important functions in the OS, and it's gone!?

Improved multi-touch gestures my arse! Managed to get 3 finger swipe back by setting it to 3 fingers instead of two, but where's pinch to zoom? I'm not blind; I don't need it for safari or most other apps. I do want it when looking through loads of finder folders with differing numbers of icons which I want to view at different sizes depending what I'm looking for. It's the only place I used pinch in SL!!!
is it working in safe mode?or in another user account?
You should try to at least fix or isolate the issue.
According to the support guy I just got off the phone with, pinch to zoom in the Finder is not supported. I'm not impressed.
Same, I used it only for the Finder.
Zooming in Safari is useful only on the Iphone, not an 13 inches screen.
