VTDecoderXPCService quitting unexpectedly?

I am getting it every time I open my movies folder either in Finder or in Stacks... I know one other person having the same problem but they can't fix it either. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any ideas???

I have been doing some research and I think it is something to do with having too many films/files that need a preview/thumbnail in one folder. This is something to do with the fact that in OS X Lion they have changed the way Quicktime works - apparently it works in a separate client? I am no tech head, just repeating what I've heard. There is another forum where someone has the problem where the VTDecoderXPCService is taking up 30% of an 8Gb Ram Module with no apps open.

Anyone know how to solve the problem? I'm stuck.

Same here, started happening promptly after upgrade to lion, and happens all the time. I've not been able to get it to stop, clicking re-open can make it worse. Any new info is appreciated.
