It should work... You won't have it in your Utilities?

Sorry for you but worked fine for me on a top end iMac 27" mid 2011 with 8 gigs of RAM.

Jul 27, 2011 7:05 PM in response to mathieufromquebecby spacecadetG5,Seems to have worked for me as well but will give it a little longer to make sure I haven't spoken too soon. Also, if you go to a YouTube video after restarting in Safe Mode, the link to download Flash does not appear to be to the Flash 11 beta that has been suggested. I needed to hunt around for it.

Good news! It doesn't seems to be but it is once the download is finish and the installer is launched... I know it is written 10.3 to 10.6 but in fact it is 10.7 : just another bug )

Jul 27, 2011 7:23 PM in response to rubenlxby xoxo-gossipgirl,I'm adding myself to the list as well... I just got my new iMac (2011-mid 21.5) less than a week ago. As soon as I got it, I upgraded to Lion & today it completely froze (all but the trackpad) when I clicked on a youtube link on FB. This was the 2nd time it has happened... Like others, I don't recall what I was doing because I wasn't expecting it. I immediately called AppleCare & went through some troubleshooting.
1. Repaired disk image
2. Moved all caches (from 3 folders) to trash
3. Emptied the trash except for a few "stubborn" ones in use
4. Shut it down
5. Unplugged every cord (including power) from the back... Immediately plugged it all back in
5. Turned it back on
6. Reset it by holding down OPTION+COMMAND+R+P until it "chimed" twice... Quickly released all keys
7. Emptied the trash again to get rid of everything
I then was given a code to call back if I had any other problems & I'm glad I wrote it down! Almost exactly an hour later a sheer dark sheet slowly scrolled from the top & to the bottom of my screen... Freezing EVERYTHING this time & demanding a mandatory shut down. Of course I called again, but they were closed for the night.
Just wanted to share my story I'll update again tomorrow...

Jul 27, 2011 7:30 PM in response to rubenlxby Dingerz,I just installed the beta flash version 10.3.181.34 from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
They acknowledge that there have been problems with Lion.
I simply installed it overtop the old version I had that I downloaded when I got the computer a month and a half ago. So now I am about to let it fall asleep and I will test the videos after. Hopefully it should work!

I went to the Apple store yesterday. This is how my 2011 21.5 I5 got fixed- Did the PRAM reset then before the computer beeped again hit shift. rebooted. Uninstalled Flash. Installed the Beta version of flash for Lion from the Adobe website(After uninstalling Flash you can just go to youtube and try and open a video and it will ask you if you want to install flash, too). Between last night and all of today I came out of sleep at least 25 times and no lock ups. The Genius told me the Snow Leopard version of Flash is not compatible with Lion. Flash does not come with Lion. Good Luck!
Like all of you I already tried a bunch of things without ANY success. BUT THIS IS THE SOLUTION. You have to do it exactly like this :
1) Reset the PRAM (Hold CMD + ALT + P + R at startup)
2) Boot in safe mode right after (Hold SHIFT before the second beep) (You should see a progress bar you don't normally see)
3) In safe mode go to Applications/Utilies/Adobe Flash Manager and uninstall Flash Player
4) Always in safe mode (DON'T LOG OUT) go to YouTube to be prompt to install latest Flash Player version. Do so.
5) Restart the computer and enjoy Snow Leopard stability in Lion… Resolved freeze with flash video AND .mp4 video AND any other video type after several sleep...
First observation : Only uninstalling Flash do NOT resolve the problem
Second observation : Uninstalling Flash and reinstalling without reseting PRAM or Safe Booting do NOT resolve the problem.
Third observation : After those manipulations the Adobe Flash Player does not appear in System Report under Applications…. STRANGE…
Please keep me up to date with your results!
Edit : The issue come back after a reboot if I don't reset the PRAM. For now if I reset the PRAM every time I reboot no more freeze reading video after a sleep. Apple still have to do their homeworks...

Have you seen my last post? Issue come back after a reboot if I don't reset the PRAM... Try rebooting with a reset...

Jul 27, 2011 7:50 PM in response to Dingerzby E2LT,Any suggestions on how to even use the computer to get the new flash?? I have reset several times now ( holding down power button). When the desk top comes back up (after a really long time) I'm lucky to get one move out of the mouse before the fun beach ball comes out again. Has anyone taken their iMac into the apple store yet with this? Any help would be great!

Jul 27, 2011 7:54 PM in response to mathieufromquebecby Celshader,For me resetting the PRAM will help to temporarily fix the problem sometimes, but it always comes back... This falls in line with many previous posts after people talked with AppleCare... I have had the system freeze after sleep directly after a PRAM reset, so it does not reliably "fix" it.
I think we are out of luck until Lion gets patched... this is futile.

Jul 27, 2011 8:37 PM in response to mathieufromquebecby longhighway,I tried your procedure several times, and it worked once for a single sleep/wake, but it doesn't seem to solve the problem for me (4-week-old 27 in. iMac).
Thanks, though. -
Jul 27, 2011 10:47 PM in response to mathieufromquebecby zoph,I've try the flash player beta 11 and my iMac just crash with safari 10 minutes later. that is not a solution.
I've also try the PRAM Reset, didn't change anything.
Apple, please update this post.

Jul 27, 2011 11:19 PM in response to rubenlxby macmaniac_at,Same Problem here. Mostly on YT Videos (27" i7 iMac 2011) but also every once a while when e.g. opening a MOV with Quickview. Annoying as it's the only bug I have with Lion :-(
