Aug 13, 2011 7:24 AM in response to Chicago Joeby gareth97,The first major update to a new OS is 3 weeks (on average) So 10.7.1 could be released next week. This update might fix the freezing.

Mac OS XChecking in with the same problem. I was attempting to view a streaming video of local news and the computer frooze. The mouse would still move about the screen but would not allow any clicks. The force quit (Command-Option-Esc) also would not work. I had to perform a hard restart. This has happened EVERY time I view a streaming video. APPLE, PLEASE GET THIS FIXED!

Aug 13, 2011 10:34 AM in response to rubenlxby JuanPMazuera,Hello, I'm running OS X 10.7 on my iMac 24Inch Early 2008, disabled the sleep option, with a 1TB 7200 RPM Hitachi HDD (Model: Hitachi HDS721010KLA330), and keeps freezing using iTunes and EyeTV, I'm trying to understand whats happening and i found that when i try to download more than one file at a time on itunes from the WWDC 2011 Session videos, it will freeze, if I keep downloading one file at a time, it wont freeze!
I tried everything even the only software running is itunes, downloading one file is fine, but start to get another one, and in 3 minutes is frozen. only thing to do is a hard reset, nothing responds. Please Apple fix this soon, this is pretty anoying!
Best!

Aug 13, 2011 12:51 PM in response to pauljpimentelby hoodwinker321,I reset the PRAM and NVRAM and it did not resolve the issue.
21" iMac, worked perfectly with Snow Leopard, then Lion broke it. Freezes 60% of the time when playing a video in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. iTunes has never crashed, but playing a regular Quicktime movie crashed it twice.
I've been using my old 5 year old MacBook Pro to watch any video because at least I know IT WON'T CRASH MY SYSTEM 5 TIMES A DAY! But it still ******* ***** when you click on a link from Twitter or navigate to an unknown web page that contains a video (because every site does now!) and your whole system goes to ****!

Aug 13, 2011 2:16 PM in response to horacecheungmacuserby rkotinsky,Same issues as everyone else, 2011 iMac with i7 processor.
- FLV file from a website locked up the computer
- Hi-def video downloaded from my Canon locked up the computer in iPhoto
Only the mouse cursor moved but all control is lost and hard reset is the only way out.
Apple lets get a patch out ASAP!

Aug 13, 2011 3:13 PM in response to rubenlxby luxo320,My week old 27" imac, with Lion also freezes when starting either a video in quicktime (any format) or streaming TV. Like most others reporting here, only the mouse pointer works. None of the keyboard options work, the only solution is to switch off and restart. The video or TV stream will usually work after re-booting.
