Aug 14, 2011 6:44 AM in response to rubenlxby tranquilitybase72223,I've had freezing on both my 24" iMac early 2008 and my MacBook Pro 13" 2010. I haven't noticed it happening with Flash or video in general. It has happened to me at boot time as Resume is starting up.

Aug 14, 2011 9:06 AM in response to rubenlxby Mamo76,Hi,
I have just purchased an iMac i5 21.5'' (with AMD Radeon HD 6770M), installed Leopard Snow (10.6.8).
Well, my iMac freezes randomly during video playback or internet browsing...
The problem is not esclusive to Lion!

Aug 14, 2011 9:44 AM in response to rubenlxby Doomuu,1 month old 27" Lion iMac here. Same problems, except when it doesn't freeze the borders of the windows and the upper bar of the finder show a distortion of the graphics, and the finder icons (from the favorites, shared and devices bar) turn white.
I hope an update will fix this soon.

Aug 14, 2011 11:00 AM in response to rubenlxby Sailboatskipper,I have 6 Macs and 0 Lion installs. That's how it will stay until Lion gets fixed.

Aug 14, 2011 11:28 AM in response to Sailboatskipperby Ben Friedman1,Me Too! I also have 6 Macs. 2 are new iMacs. All running 10.6.8. Here is the bad news. The Apple Programmers for OSX were transferred to ios. That is why the Chief of Programming for OSX quit in disgust. Apple is more concerned with the ios because that is their chief money maker. That is why there is no patch to Lion tight now and when it comes it may not fix these issues. I am a stockholder but I am getting wary about Apple stock right now. It may be time to sell!

Aug 14, 2011 11:33 AM in response to rubenlxby Afrodev,I've upgraded flash to 10.3.183 and have put the system to sleep/awake a couple of times and have been viewing many embedded flash videos. So far I have had zero freezing.

Aug 14, 2011 11:38 AM in response to Ben Friedman1by Sachit.R1,You are right since iOS is their main money maker they have left the OS X development aside. Even as I said earlier in this thread, it seems that apple doesn't care about the mac platform. If they are not going to support it as much they should just give it up and break the news now. This way, at least, we can put our money elsewhere... in a company that actually cares about their PC users. This is even why my next PC it is not going to be a mac.

Aug 14, 2011 11:44 AM in response to Sachit.R1by MrYamakasi,Hahaha, seriously?? All this because of some little bug on an otherwise prfect OS?
-
Aug 14, 2011 11:55 AM in response to MrYamakasiby Sachit.R1,You call this OS an "otherwise perfect OS" are you joking? the Mac is a solid platform but it is far from perfect.
Also I wouldn't be as ****** if apple fixed it within the first 2 weeks but it has been almost a month since this thread has started, and where is Apple... oh developing iOS 5.
-
Aug 14, 2011 11:53 AM in response to MrYamakasiby Ben Friedman1,You must be joking. Real bad joke! Take a look at this discussion group and tell me again that Lion is perfect or has a small number of flaws.https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3194165?start=450&tstart=0
