    Oh my

I have Citrix installed but need it for my work; its a major way I can connect with my employers's servers applications.

Oh dear.. I have often wondered how Intrusive Citrix is

Hang in there MagicChik. Fixes are coming. My MBP is 6 months old too and a number of people are working with Apple. They are aware and I can't believe the next release is more than 4-8 weeks away.. That's hope.... Push Apple, show them this thread and see what/if they will share..

You are not alone. Hope that makes you feel at least a little better.

Once this fix comes out am I going to have to pay another 30 bucks for the software do you think? Or will this be like a free update to the software I've already purchased. I keep debating on going back to Snow, but I paid for lion and use iCloud with my iPad so I'm kind of stuck for the time being I guess.

Just want to clarify, I did a clean install of Lion on my mid 2010 MBP. No additional apps were installed except for Xcode & Canon printer drivers...cpu is at or less then 1% according to activity monitor and enabling/disabling internet/wifi makes very little difference in the battery life (which usually hovers around the low 3hrs high 2hrs.

4 to 8 weeks ago Franc? That is either sheer speculation or a breech of developmental privelage. I would  be betting two. But somehow you are Privvy to info that should not be given out under Apple policy. Be careful if you actually do ha e any imformation. I will pass your speculation on to Apple to check its accuracy.

    Cheers

ran the top command in terminal and noticed that kernel_task is using 3% of cpu, which isn't much per se but is substantial when it comes to battery life. Anyone else notice that?

btw, mulligans missus, really? you're going to go out of your way to tattle on franc_iphone? Not exactly relevant to this topic.

How can i get [CEO] Tim Cook's email address? i would love to send him an email.

Try writing Tim a real letter and sending it via certified mail.  People who get lots of mail take a written letter more seriously than an email since it takes a modest effort to write and mail one.  Emails get deleted.

You can find Apple's address on this website, but for convenience, here it is:

    Apple, Inc.

    1 Infinite Loop
    Cupertino, CA 95014

Apple's switchboard is  408 996 1010.  You can leave a message.  Good luck.

How ridiculous.  You're trying to freak out franc_iphone because he "can't believe" that an upgrade is more than four to eight weeks out?   What a bogus threat.  How pathetic.

I too can't believe that an upgrade is more than four to weeks out, and I don't have any contacts at Apple.  I'll check with my Apple tech tomorrow.  He usually knows the scuttlebutt better than anyone.

You're out of control, MM.  Can the people here help you in some way?

Yes Bob by not speculating on when or what Apple will release as an update. What will be addressed in it. What fixes will be included. Why would you ask your tech? He won't know. Apple are very secretive to update release. Always have been and giving others false hopes about updates is poor form and irresponsible.

    Have a nice day

Mulligans Missus - your help on this thread has been about as useful as a chocolate tea-pot.

    Your going to pass my "speculation" on to Apple to check for accurancy? Huh? What planet cuckoo are you living on? What I said was;

"I can't believe the next release is more than 4-8 weeks away.. That's hope...."

And you are going to report me? - LOL You really think I am privvy to more information - LOL - Please do report me - it's so funny, it's sad!

You clearly do not have anything better to do.

To MagicChik, and to others, I hope I was clear. I hope I didn't give you false hopes. I thought I was clear. It's worth hanging in there as I have lived with the problem since June/July when I brought my MacBook with LION. Apple have been slow to respond (so much so I wrote to Tim Cooks office and they have responded). THAT is why I am confident on a fix soon. I have said that all along.

    Jeez Mulligan, get a life!

Amazing, thank you Franc_iphone! Mulligans missus needs to find something better to do. We are just trying to get answers and support.......this IS an Apple SUPPORT forum dumba$$.

Anyway, I have since tried to re install SL and have been unsuccessful. My computer will not allow me to do anything to my own hard drive. I've been up all night 3 days in a row now trying to learn how to create partitions and install snow using my startup disk and everything I try fails. I'm so frustrated and my battery life is getting worse and worse. Any ideas on how to revert back to SL until Lion has a fix?

Chocolate teapots now? Are you done with flying pigs at last. Re-read your own threads. A couple of pages. Ack you were beta testing, now you are giving a release timeline. Report you? Na just showing what I think of you actual help here. After all your posts and grandiosed statements, your posts have resolved no more issues than mine. It is so.......yawn...... repetitive and unhelpful but if you and a couple of other noobs want to believe it then have fun. You got a bum computer and are too lazy to hassle Apple to replace it. Period.

I asked MM how people here could help him/her.  I meant emotionally, as MM is fast approaching dictator mode and it's embarrassing, as well as a downer for people trying to come up with solutions as franc_iphone has been doing, copiously.  MM replied:

Yes Bob by not speculating on when or what Apple will release as an update. What will be addressed in it. What fixes will be included. Why would you ask your tech? He won't know. Apple are very secretive to update release. Always have been and giving others false hopes about updates is poor form and irresponsible.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong.  Putting words in franc_iphone's mouth.  franc_iphone merely speculated and that's not a crime.  It happens on Apple Insider, on Ars Technica, on MacWorld, on Engadget, on Mashable, and on any Apple-related website and blog where the writer has a brain.  My tech told me much.  I won't tell you, because you'll look for an imaginary siren to call out an imaginary Apple Gestapo.  The Apple community is far more porous than you know or admit.

False hopes hurt no one.  They're just hopes that aren't realized.  If they are realized,  they're not  false.  How do you know?  I hope for world peace.  I really do.  Arrest me.

Frankly, I expect something really great from Apple, post-Lion, once it's done fixing the kiddies' iPads.  It has great ability.  Hope and Change.

What's strange is that MM truly believes he's helping! He / She must do! Whereas the rest of us don't purport to be experts and only passing on our experiences as honest as we can (and yes, we screw up to), he/she believes they are Mr/Mrs perfect.

Oh well, onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed that the new release will be out at 12:23:01 on Feb 29th 2012

Disclaimer - I MADE THAT DATE UP
