Oct 3, 2011 1:42 PM in response to Tony Corasanitiby daycor,Obviously there are issues with the battery, fans and general sluggishness. It's apparent when you look at the number of people posting here, direct interaction with other users and general media information available.
Currently, most of the suggested fixes do not work or are short lived.
What I find amazing is that when these issues were orginally posted how many fanatics came out of the wood works to suggest that it was the user fault.
Hopefully, Apple will have a working solution soon.

Oct 4, 2011 3:53 AM in response to Michael Empricby evilblob,Just adding another voice to this. Hoping Apple can fix this soon. That said, I'm still getting double what a friend with a Windows 7 PC was getting doing the exact same task.

Oct 4, 2011 4:05 AM in response to evilblobby bertmbp49,If so many customers are complaining and there is no reaction at all from Apple, why cannot we form a Facebook Apple complain action?
Or search direct contact with the press, they are always waiting for Apple news to write about.
Now we are acting like stupid sheep, waiting untill the Apple God has time to look down at us.

Oct 4, 2011 5:47 AM in response to bertmbp49by Dark Dave,I think the idea of bertmbp49 with the Facebook Apple complain action would be a good idea. At least they might mention the prob.
Would you open up such a complain facebook page because it was your idea and I don't want to steal it.

Oct 4, 2011 7:15 AM in response to Michael Empricby chokung,I think for a newer MBP it has already been taken care of, please read.
I come across this issue last week from the news here.
It seem legitimate to me but for an older MBP, I would keep my finger cross that Apple will launch an update for battery issues.

Oct 4, 2011 10:57 AM in response to Michael Empricby hemamalini,I created new 2nd partition and installed SL from the installation disk. It looks like the battery usage went back to normal. I am thinking of installing it in the main partition and remove LION. With 87% level ,i see 7hrs 37 min battery level
Anybody tried installing SL instead of LION and saw battery issues resolve ?

Oct 4, 2011 7:48 PM in response to Michael Empricby bigd_pdx,I replied earlier in this thread, but just throwing in a comment here. I'm getting fantastic battery life with Lion. Early 2011 15 inch Macbook Pro I7 2.2 8GB 750GB 5400rpm drive. I currently have 82% with 7:13 remaining, surfing the web via WiFi with brightness at 1 tick less than half. I do run gfxCardStatus (V2.1) and have it set to integrated only when on battery. Battery usage has been very consistent between SL and Lion for me. I did an in place upgrade on this machine from SL.
While I've been surfing and typing, I read 81% with 7:33 remaining.
