Oct 12, 2011 4:03 PM in response to IMightBeThomasby jesslorenzo,Is 10.7.2 out already? How come it is not in the update of mac os?

Oct 12, 2011 6:07 PM in response to Michael Empricby broadcastsignal,This is my predicament right now. I've been waiting for wireless syncing with iCal for a really long time, and always felt MobileMe was too expensive for that single feature.
Now it's free in iCloud, but I need to upgrade to Lion to take advantage of all these features. However, the main reason I bought my MacBook Pro in the first place was the battery life. I might just hold off on iCloud until this battery issue gets addressed.

Oct 12, 2011 6:39 PM in response to broadcastsignalby tcandaman,10.7.2 fixed my battery problem. My 15 inch macbook pro would get around 2 hours of battery, now I'm posting on it's 9th hour.
AWWWW YEAAAAAA

Oct 12, 2011 6:41 PM in response to IMightBeThomasby RudyfromSATX,I downloaded it this afternoon. I don't see much improvement.

Oct 12, 2011 6:52 PM in response to Michael Empricby terifromwinchester,I downloaded 7.2 and battery went from 1.5hours to 3.5 hours. Still short of the 7 hours I used to get.
My start up and restart speed is excessively slow. It used to start right up, now the little wheel just turns and turns. I have to reboot to go to Windows and bootcamp and hold the Alt key and it takes a few minutes to switch over. I am trying to be patient and not grumble.

Oct 12, 2011 7:13 PM in response to Michael Empricby lex_luger,no luck with the update on 10.7.2 smh apple just fix it already before you know it i will need a new battery ugh !
-
Oct 12, 2011 8:26 PM in response to lex_lugerby Franc_Iphone,I can confirm, no noticeable differnce to battery life with 10.7.2 update. Full charge. Brand new Mac Book Pro on Lion, I'm getting around 4 hours tops. Maybe an extra mins - maybe!!
Shame on Apple. Still there was ZERO reference to 10.7.2 update fixing anything to do with Battery life and my tests bear this out completely. Maybe the battery has to re-learn from me using 10.7.2. for a few days ( I doubt it but can live in hope).
I can also confirm, my MAC mail refresh bug HAS been fixed for the most part.

Oct 12, 2011 10:27 PM in response to Franc_Iphoneby rjj93,did you try the smc reset and pram reset after the update?
-
Oct 12, 2011 11:07 PM in response to rjj93by Franc_Iphone,Yes, I updated to 10.7.2 and reset PRAM and SMC and also Repaired disk permissions for good mesaure. Made not the slightest bit of difference. We are not at all surprised though since NOTHING has been mentioned from Apple. Either to acknowledge the problem or to say 10.7.2 has addressed it...
Best I can pray for is I let it run down NOW to emptry and recharge tonight and see if a miracle has occurred.
Joke of the day;
A policeman catches a Lion breaking breaking into a car. Officer to the Lion, "Hey Lion, you are under arrest and I'm charging you for breaking into that car". Lion to the officer. "That's OK, I'll be out in a couple of hours"!

Oct 13, 2011 1:30 AM in response to IMightBeThomasby Ilhan Kudeki,10.7.2 with PRAM reset seems to me giving me close to 7h with a full charge. I have a 13" MBP (bought in March) and formerly got only 4h, which stayed that low even after doing a clean install of Snow Leopard!
I did hear that the PRAM reset is only a temporary fix though, and can wear off, but I hope that this sticks!
As far as I can tell, there's hope
(If this really was a fix in 10.7.2, I think it's pretty sly of Apple to fix the problem without owning up to having caused it in the first place, which would have made them look bad. Would have been nice to know they were working on a fix though.)
