Q: frontrow in lion?

There is no front row in Lion, it has been removed unfortunately.

Sadly, it's gone. Maybe a third party will figure out how to get it back.

i used Frontrow often why?? it works great!

Sadly, I think FrontRow had been off the Apple agenda for some time.  It is buggy, fails to index new media if your library gets too big, and despite the loyal FrontRow users getting their own category on this blog, it has been ignored.  Finally they've admitted to it, and killed it off.

It can be restored in Lion by copying these files from Snow Leopard to the same locations in Lion:

/System/Library/CoreServices/Front Row.app

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/BackRow.framework

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/iPhotoAccess.framework

/System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.RemoteUI.plist

/Applications/Front Row.app

I have tested it and it works, but do it at your own risk.

Do you think this will still work with the rumoured firmware update for AppleTV, and the upcoming iTunes changes??

Does this work even if you have iTunes 10.4 installed?

It works fine with iTunes 10.4.

A future Lion update may cause problems, who knows

i think it doesn't work to access your music in itunes 10.4

but does anyone know how to change the Language? ins english i'd like to change it to german as it was on snow leopard… thx

Maybe if enough people tell them they will put it back in a future update or make it available on app the store.
