I upgraded to Lion and lost the vertical scroll in my Magic Mouse. I can use two fingers moving horizontally to get to another space, but the vertical scroll does not seem to work on my computer. I also could not find the preference that save information about the mouse. Some of the preferences seem to have changed as well. Any ideas how to reset the preferences for the Magic Mouse?

I'm having this same problem. No scrolling at all because I had it turned off before upgrading to Lion, now there's no option to turn it on. I tried deleting the bluetooth.plist to no avail. Anyone know how to turn scrolling back on in Lion?
I think that is what I did. I turned off some features before upgrading and now my vertical scroll will not turn back on. System preferences doesn't do it. I have turned everything on and off.
Ok, finally solved the problem. Here is what I did:
1. Open Terminal
Copy and Paste the following script into terminal and you will have your Library folder back where it was in Leopard.
chflags nohidden /users/**username**/library
- Remember to substitute **username** for your account username!
2. Find the now visible Library folder in your user folder - go to the Preferences folder.
3. Rename com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse.plist or delete it. Then restart you computer.
Scrolling should be back.

Two days ago I was at the Apple Store Genius Bar, and was told it was a conflicting application and the only sure way to fix was to wipe the drive and start over.

Hi. I have tried this but unfortunately it works only for the first seconds after the restart. I think after "everything" has loaded, scrolling does not work again. How can it be?
We have 3 accounts and are using the magic mouse + magic trackpad, is this the reason?

I did this (as I mentioned above) and it worked for me - however, I now don't have a right click on my magic mouse! I have to press ctrl and click...!
