Missing Trakpad Gestures

Hi,

I kust noticed that there are some missing trakpad gestures in the new Mac OS X lion

one is : going back and forward in Finder .. for example, when you are in a folder and you opened another internal folder (sub-folder) then you want to go back..

it used to be fantastic by swiping three fingers right to go forward and to left to go back ..

the second.. in iphoto .. I can't go to the next photo or to the previous one by gesture ..

that can also include the same on the chrome web browser ..

I hope they fix them .. or someone can tell me how to activate them ..

Thank you

None of which address the OP's issues. I agree with him too. They really need to put this back in. For an OS that was inspired by iOS's gesture based navigation, this seems a bit silly. Why would you remove a gesture command that was ubiquitous in the OS and that everyone was used to? I've found SOOO many threads about this issue.

I REALLY hope they put the back/forward gestures back in.

I had the same issue with not being able to swipe between Finder windows. I have finally found the solution without using the BetterTouchTool.

System Preferences

Trackpad

More Gestures

Check "Swipe between pages"

Select "Swipe with two or three fingers"

This will allow you to swipe with three fingers through Finder windows. Just be aware that other gestures might be effected by this, so you'll need to adjust accordingly.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Russell

yeah, I already tried that. What I'm saying is you can make everything work, but it's just implemented wrong. The animation of the windows sliding back or forward in Safari is confusing when using two fingers. It's just done wrong. They need to make all navigational swiping directions do the same thing, otherwise it gets very confusing.

honestly... this is bugged.

i put the gestures to three fingers, and it changes back to two.

i checked that there is no other gestures using three fingers sideways and it still changes back to two fingers.

and when it stayed sometimes... i cant really use it on the finder.... till after 3-4 attempts....

this is buggy...

and the pad feels less responsive and sensitive to gestures..

please fix it..
