Kernel Panic after Installing Lion

Hey guys, I have a Mid 2009 Macbook pro. I installed Lion yesterday along with 8gigs of Ram and a 128gig SSD. I have been getting kernel panics sporadically after that. Please help me out. Here's my log:

Hi !

I am not able to read the log you posted, but I can share an idea, as I have the exact same problem than you. I have a 27" iMac (2010) and ever since I have updated to Lion, I have had 3 Kernel Panics.

I have figured out that it was an Airport issue. Are you using your wifi or connecting through an ethernet cable ? Try to disable your airport/wifi. It worked for me so far (it's been about 12hours now without a panic).

Keep us posted,

Antrozous.

I have a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro and I'm having the same exact issue. It started happening after a clean install of Lion when it first came out, and after happening more than 30 times I decided to downgrade to SL. It was ridicolous. Yesterday I decided to try and install Lion upgrading from SL rather than doing a clean installation, but the problem is still there.

Thing is, it also happens when I'm on Windows or Linux, which is really weird, cause it only happens if I have Lion installed in my system.

Did this get permanently fixed for any of you? Any input would be greatly appreciated, since I'd really like being able to keep Lion.

Thanks,

Ian

Also, RAM could be faulty or not seated correctly. Where did you purchase the RAM; some RAM is better than others.

I haven't installed any of those applications; I'm using a Lion upgrade from a fresh SL installation where the only thing I opened was Software Update. And I was also having this problem when I did a clean installation of Lion.

My RAM is the one that came with the MBP, and I highly doubt it's the issue since the kernel panics stopped happening when I got rid of Lion. Now that I have it again, kernel panics are back. That actually makes it even weirder, cause one would think that one OS wouldn't be able to affect the rest, right?

Hi everyone!

I have this exact problem too!

Installed upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion as soon as it came out. Everything was ok until I installed my Kingston SSDNow 128gb SSD and 2 Kingston 4GB DDR3 RAM sticks (8gigs total), I cloned my HDD onto my brand new SSD, everything worked great.... until I got my first kernel panic...

After lots of times of having to force-reboot my mac because of those kernel panics, I finally decided to do a clean install of lion. I did, and everything worked fine until, guess what?, kernel panic.

I'm starting to think that it may be my SSD or my RAM sticks that are defective but I can't actually believe that cause they are both brand new (bought them toghether 2 months ago).

So... today my mac got completely fu@#*ed up... it wouldn't even recognize my external HDD. I had to backup to a network shared drive and did a clean install (again...).

That was 6 hs ago, and now I'm posting this after a kernel panic.

I dont know what to do... did any one found a solution for this?

I'd apreciate your help very much.

Best regards,

Santiago

i tired ur suggestion but the system went into panic yet again.

i realised that there was this dlna app that got started and took all my cpu resources each time i booted the computer so got rid of it too. yet, the kernel panics wouldn't go. then i noticed something...

i noticed that the macbook went into a panic exactly when i would open the dashboard and when it would try to load certain widgets. all the widgets were stock apple widgets except one.... 'istat nano".

i removed it and then rebooted my machine and since then there has been no panic yet.

i think it is something related to this istat nano. i downloaded it yesterday and since then my system kept freezing, for the first of times in its 3 year life.
