OS X Lion Battery Life

I downloaded Lion last night and played around on it for a minute or two then put my MacBook on the charger and went to bed. I woke up this morning and turned on my white MacBook 13" with 100% battery. After just 3 hours, with my brightness on the second to lowest setting, my battery was at 35% so I stuck it back on the charger, waited until it was at 100% again, then took it off. Once more within about 4 hours my battery was dead. I never had this issue until after the Lion update. On Snow Leopard I could usually get 3 or 4 days outta my battery before I had to charge it. Anyone else having battery life issues after updating to Lion?

Yeah I'm getting about 4 hours on my 2010 13" MacBook Pro since I installed Lion. The battery life is much worse than it was on Snow Leopard.

Same problem after my upgrade to Lion my MBP 13" mid 2010 has only 2-3 hour of battery instead with Snow Leopard it worked for at least 4 hours without problem using Wifi and Bluetooth.

Tried reset of Power Manager but it doesn't solve my problem I hope that Apple will release a patch about that soon.

I don't have Citrix agent running...also latest Snow Leopard patch generated a problem similar it was due to Parallels icon resolution and Dock so I'm confident a similar solution.

A clean restore and an SMC reset with full battery and while plugged in fixed it for me. I first tried the SMC reset before resotring to no avail. Then after restoring i realized that maybe just the SMC reset would have fixed it if it was properly done (I wasn't fully charged and I wasn't plugged in when I did it before restoring so I'm not sure if that would have affected the fix - the power adapter light should change when you release the buttons).

I'm having the same issue - after upgrading to Lion (i did a total clean install), the battery life on my macbook pro 13' 2010 has reduced significantly - now only showing c3hours left after I disconnect the magsafe (it used to be 5+ hours). I already tried to reset the SMC, which hasn't helped. Any ideas?

I like Apple, but I think Lion is turning out to have too many issues/bugs than usual. It also seems slower to Snow Leopard when starting up after shutting down. Overall I'm a bit disappointed.

I have the same problem. I have the latest Macbook Pro 15" i7, first upgrades to Lion from Snow Leopard and got 3 hours of battery (being 6-7 the usual), I tried all resets that people is being talking about but none of that worked.

Later, I tried to install Lion from scratch, and the battery issue persists, when will Apple acknowledge this problem and solve it? They've release a patch without this problem fixed! I don't understand why... :/

I spoke with Apple this morning and the tech I spoke to did not seem to be competely aware of the problem so I informed him.

He had me do two things:

do a SMC reset

and a PRAM reset

now things are working just fine!

I did those things and first it seemed that the battery would last the usual time, but then I close the lid, wait it for be in sleep mode, and awake it, and the time estimate went don't again. I tried this a lot of times!

Any fixes yet?

I have tried the SMC and PRAM fixes. Helps Nothing! Found the conversation about Graphic Card and downloaded the program to switch Graphic Card when on battery. No help!

I need a fix to this. My Mav Book Pro is early 2011 and the problem began immedeatly after updating to Lion! I really regret it, since I have to work cordless.

Apple where is the FIX?????

I have also done everything, I've reinstalled the system from scratch, did the SMC resetting ritual and all, but no luck either.

I hope the next updates come with this much needed fix... anyone knows if Apple even acknowledge this being a problem?
